For some reason known only to the Universe and YouTube, slime has resurfaced and become a sensation. Chalk it up to viral videos, or maybe something in the school lunch program, but recently kids began making slime again - like they were working for Nickelodeon. In fact, the trend was so hot for awhile, that Amazon actually ran out of Elmer's glue, or at least that's the urban myth.

As a party planner I have to embrace all trends. Of course I knew I needed to jump (back) on the slime bandwagon. I've been making slime for years in my science parties. But no matter how much I prepare and how fine tuned the recipes are, there is always at least one kid who ends up a sticky, ooey, gooey mess. I can't figure it out...but it always happens. When we started creating "slime bars" for our teen and tween parties, I knew I was in for at least a few fails and mishaps.
Thank goodness Asia from Fun At Home With Kids has compiled an easy to follow remedy blog. I've featured Asia many times before. Her blog features simple experiments, project recipes, and amazing sensory play. This particular blog, however, couldn't have come at a better time. Asia offers up a series of great photos that highlight the pitfalls and fails of slime, along with easy to understand fixes. She also offers up great advice on how to clean up after a slime disaster. She even offers up info for those of you making slime in the UK! She's literally my hero when it comes to slime tips!
So if you find yourself surrounded by eager slime makers, and need a little help making sure you're not going to end up with frustrated scientists and goo on your walls, pop on over to Asia's blog, her ideas will definitely "stick" with you!
