You Made It! I Love It!: Recycled Water Bottle Spirals
recycled wind spirals

Summer is here!  Which means it's time to hydrate!  Consequently, it means an ample supply of plastic water bottles for crafting!

Jackie from Happy Hooligans has come up with a super easy, super beautiful way to make your summer days and nights sparkle.  These water bottle spinners are really cute.  I love the way they stack up on one another to make layers.  I also love that they are made from an everyday item, so they cost next to nothing to make.

Jackie's directions and photos are easy to follow and she offers helpful hints along the way. I found this craft linked on a Parenting site hosted by the CBC.  That site is great in it's own right, but I strongly suggest you click the link to her official Happy Hooligans site. There you will find a bounty of amazing activities, crafts, and short inspirational videos.  Jackie has a great style that is easy to read, watch and understand.  Add lots of really clever ideas, and you'll see in a glance why I am so taken by Jackie and her site.   I'm sure once you've experienced her site that you, like me, will want to add it to your favorite bookmarks.

In fact, my husband and I are headed to Mexico this week for a bit of recharging.  I think this will be the perfect craft to share with the kids at our local Mission.
