In the last couple of years, there have been many changes in Sophie's Stress Free Soirees world. Sophie and the business excitingly have moved to Sacramento. With that being said, our starting budget for parties and events in the Bay Area is $5,000.00. Parties in the Sacramento area will be priced accordingly. Pricing is determined by guest count and activities chosen. Additionally, we are going back to what we do best and we will be focusing on creating fun interactive crafting tables for the young and young at heart. Throughout the years we have worked with some really amazing decorators and vendors that we are happy to recommend.
PARTY RATES AND EXPENSES
(As of January 2023, for in person parties)
THE BASICS
2-hour minimum for parties.
$500 deposit, within 7 days of booking, is mandatory to hold your date
Balance is due on the day of your event
RATES
Our average party costs anywhere from $3500 to $5000 ++ depending on the
number of children and scope of the event.
Personnel rates are charged per party hour only. 2 hours of pre-event set up and 1 hour of post-event clean up are included in these rates.
Sophie / Head Facilitator - $400 per party hour
Assistants – $270 each per 2-hour party ($45 per additional hour)
Staffing requirements are as follows (For Harry Potter parties, please see separate HP proposals for details):
1-8 children: 1-2 assistants
9-16 children: 2-4 assistants
17-24 children: 3-5 assistants
+1 assistant for each 7 additional children
Please note that our staffing requirements are non-negotiable. Insurance mandates prevent us from having fewer staff then stipulated or from using staff not affiliated with Sophie’s Stress-Free Soirees.
PRODUCTION
Every party requires a great deal of preparation to organize all the supplies necessary. This one-time, flat fee will increase depending on the amount of guests and activities.
Production Fee - $350 - $500 (minimum/for up to 20 kids)
VENUE/VENDOR RESEARCH
We have relationships and contacts with virtually any additional service you might need, from venues to cakes. Should you require us to research venues or vendors (performers), note that a fee of $30 per hour will be charged accordingly.
DISTANCE FEES
The Stress-Free part of your Soiree begins when we bring everything to you. With Sophie's move out of the Bay Area, we do charge a distance fee of $250. Distance fees will be assessed for bridge tolls and surrounding counties. Any parking fees are additional.
After these initial costs, everything else is a la carte and tailored to fit your needs. You can select from décor, crafts, goodies, tables & chairs, venues, and paper goods. These are all priced separately. Once your event is confirmed, we provide you a proposal with all the prices.
Proposals are customized by theme, so we can give you lots of ideas for any party you want!
(Note: We are NOT a caterer. We do NOT prepare food and/or cakes.)
Note about Décor:
We do NOT have any decor packages to offer at this time, besides Harry Potter. Should you wish for décor, we would purchase for you. We’ll charge for the product at market value, plus a $50.00 service fee for finding/ordering/purchasing supplies. The decor belongs to client after the party is over.
