You Will Need ...
  1. Wax thread, plain dental floss, or monofilament

  2. Needle with a large eye (like an embroidery needle)

  3. Air-popped pop corn (or oil-popped without salt or butter flavoring)

  4. Fresh cranberries

  5. Scissors

Step 1: 

Thread your needle with the string.  If you are using monofilament instead of wax thread, tie a small bead to the end to keep the popcorn from slipping off.  Using the threaded needle, take one piece of popcorn and push the needle through the popcorn.  Slip the popcorn down the thread till it is about 3 inches from the end (the wax thread will hold the popcorn in place without need for a bead or knot).

 

Step 2: 

Repeat the process with a cranberry or dried piece of fruit.  Continue threading popcorn and fruit in a nice pattern.

Step 3: 

When you have filled your string unthread your needle.  To make longer strands you can simply tie multiple shorter strands together.
