Sophie shows you how to create these beautiful take home candy bags for your Thanksgiving guests.
Colored candies, like Reeses Pieces
brown paper bag
clear tape
label .pdf - found under the Stats tab above
hole punch
rubber band
scissors
Begin by transforming your plastic bag into the shape of an ear of corn. Fold up the bottom point and tape down. Fold both edges in to form a rectangle and tape those edges.
Fill your pastry bag with colored candies.
Seal the top of the bag with a rubber band.
Next we will create the fronds for the top of the bag. Cut the bottom from the bag. From the body of the bag cut a rectangle about 24 inches long.
Use your scissors to create fringe out of your rectangle of brown paper pag. Cut from one end of the bag to nearly the other end. Do this for the entire length of the paper.
Attach one end of the fringe to the top of the bag. Wrap it around and tape it to secure.
Continue wrapping all the way around adding some tape and hot glue along the way to secure.
Tie a piece of twine around the top of the bag.
Download my template from the Stats tab above. But out one of the tags. Punch a hole in the tag.
Place the tag on the twine and tie to secure.
Your handmade Thanksgiving treat is complete.
