How to
Step 1

You should have already created the body of your bag by following this tutorial.

Print out the fox face template, found under the Stats tab above.  Create a piece of duct tape fabric that is large enough to contain all the template pieces. Remember, even though the template only shows one ear, eye and shine you will need to create two. Choose what colors you want for your fabric.  For our purse we are using orange for the outside and white for the inside. Cut the flap shape and the ear from your template, lay them on your fabric, trace with a sharpie and cut them out.

Step 2

Next we will make duct tape stickers for the eyes and nose.  Lay a piece of parchment paper over the circles on the template and trace over them. Again, you will need two eyes, two eye shine pieces, and one nose.

Step 3

Cover the circles you have just traced with duct tape in a color of your choice.  In our case we used purple for the eyes and nose and white for the shine.

Step 4

Flip the tape and parchment over and cut out your template pieces with your scissors.

Step 5

Time to assemble the bag.  Begin with a piece of duct tape in the same color as your flap cut to the same length as the top edge of the flap. This will be used to attach the flap to the body of the purse.

Step 6

We cut an extra piece of duct tape in the same length but this time in white, to seal and match the inside of the bag.

Step 7

Attach the flap to the bag on the outside first and then the inside.

Step 8

Cut a small piece of sticky back velcro to use as the closure for the bag.  Peel one side of the velcro and attach it to the top of the flap.  Peel the second side, close the flap and rub to secure the velcro.

Step 9

Next we will attach the the ears.  Use the two ear pieces we cut from the duct tape fabric,  Add a piece of tape half on/half off in the same color (like we did with the flap) to each ear. Trim any excess.

Step 10

Attach the ears to the top of the bag.  Once attached, seal with extra strips of duct tape.

Step 11

To build the face, we will use the duct tape stickers we created in Step 4. Peel the parchment paper of the two large circles first and attach them where you would like the eyes to be.

Step 12

Attach the smaller white circles, the shine of the eyes, to the larger circles. Place the nose where you would like it.

Step 13

All done! Super easy huh? Stay tuned because Freda and I plan on creating a bunch more animal faces and sharing with you all soon.
