Sophie creates adorable sheep out of paper doilies.
2 8-inch doilies
scissors
large googley eyes
hot glue or glue stick
4" x 3" square of black paper
4" x 5.5" square of black paper
ruler
pen or pencil
Separate your doilies. Following the outline of the doily cut a small piece out of one doily. This will become his tuft of hair.
To make his face begin with the smaller piece of black paper. Fold it in half lengthwise. Cut an arch shape in the paper. Unfold. This makes the face.
Fold the other piece of paper in half. Measure up 3.5 inches. Make a mark with your pen.
Starting at that mark use your scissors to cut a heart shape. Your heart shape should have a very deep arch. Almost back to the middle of the paper.
Unfold and cut the two halves apart. These are the ears.
Use the leftover piece of paper from the ears to cut the legs. Follow the shape of the heart and cut out two feet.
If necessary you can trim the tops of the feet so they fit inside the circular part of your doily.
Begin gluing the pieces onto the doily. The feet, the ears and the face.
Glue the small piece of doily we cut earlier to his face. This is his pompadour.
Glue on the googley eyes. Baah!
