By adding some food coloring to clear or white glue you create a material that enables you to make beautiful stained glass-like suncatchers.
picture frame with glass
clear or white glue
hot glue gun with ample glue sticks
wide mouth squeeze bottle
We begin by making our colored glue. Fill your squeeze bottle about 3/4 full with glue. I prefer the look of the clear glue but you can also use white glue.
Add food coloring to the glue. Do not be shy - it takes quite a bit to get vibrant colors.
Mix the food coloring into your glue.
Take your frame apart. We need to glue the glass to the inside of the frame. Run a bead of glue all the way around the inner edge of the frame.
Place the glass back into the frame and run another bead of glue all the way around the edge to secure.
Now, you simply begin painting with the squeeze bottles.
Continue painting until the glass is covered.
This will take a LONG time to dry. Set your painting in a safe place for at least two days to allow it to dry completely.
