Materials List 24 gauge wire tapestry needle 3" foam ball Old CD Scissors Box cutter Cutting board Acrylioc paints or Uni Posca Pens Glue Gun Jewels (optional) How to Step 1 Use your box cutter to carefully score the styrofoam ball at the seam. Step 2 Continue cutting through carefully until you have cut the ball in half. Step 3 Thread about 12-18" of wire through the eye of your tapestry needle. Step 4 Push the needle through one half of the ball. Step 5 Make a U shape with the end of the wire on the flat side of the ball. Push the end of the wire into the styrofoam. Step 6 Make a loop at the other end of your wire. This will become your hanger. Step 7 Glue the half of the ball with the wire to your CD. Since this is foam it is best to allow the glue to cool a bit before attaching. Step 8 Glue the other half on the other side of the CD. Step 9 Your planet is basically finished. All that is left to do now is color and embellish in whatever manner you like. Here I am using Uni Posca pens to color the surface. Step 10 Finally, I used some beautiful stick-on jewels to decorate.
