Well hello gang, and welcome to "why not? Wednesday". Today Sparky and I will be reading stories and singing songs that say "no" or make us question things. A big thank you to Delilah and Jayce for lending me this mornings offerings. I'll be starting with, "warning" from Shel Silverstein's "Where the Sidewalk Ends", followed by "No More Cuddles" by Jane Chapman. This will be followed by "Dogs Don't Wear Sneakers" by Laura Numeroff with illustrations by Joe Mathieu, and finally a little poem from "Now We Are Six" by A.A. Milne with decorations by Ernest H. Shepard, entitled, "the good little girl". Check out my website www.sophie-world.com for more games, songs, stories, and crafts. And if you like the song "don't stick your finger up your nose", you can hear its creator Barry Louis Plisar sing it live
