This keychain can also be made into a basketball, soccer ball, or any other type of ball you want. You'll just need to use different colored nail polish depending on what you want to make.
Washers (3/16 x 1-1/4 in)
White nail polish
Cord (I used 1 mm satin cord)
Hot glue gun
Red & Black permanent markers
Coat the washer surface with white nail polish. Let it dry for 10 minutes.
Depending on the nail polish you are using, you may want to apply a second coat. Once the second coat has dried, coat the opposite side of the washer. Remember to let it dry 10 minutes between coats.
Make a loop with the cord and thread it through the washer, then pull the other ends of the string through the loop.
To draw the seams of the baseball, use a second washer and trace semicircles on both sides.
Draw stitches along the seams using a red permanent marker.
Add a bead, making sure to thread both ends of cord through it.
Decide what you want your keychain to say. Since you want your message to spell from top to bottom, thread the letter beads in a backwards order of spelling.
Thread the cord through your keyring.
Loop the cord through to tie a knot on the keyring. Try to leave as small a gap as possible as you can between the keyring and the beads.
Put a small dot of hot glue on the knot for extra secuity.
Trim the excess ends of cord.
There you have your own personalized sports keychain!
