Step 1:

Start by making your pumpkin's face. Draw a mouth and some eyes on your black construction paper. Get as creative and spooky as you would like.

Step 2:

Cut out the shapes you created.

Step 3:

Take your plate and glue on the face pieces. (Tip: Flip the pieces over so you don't see the marker lines)

Step 4:

To make the pumpkin leaves, take your tissue paper and scrunch in half (like a bow tie). Twist both ends of the bow tie as well, and wala you have leaves!

Step 5:

To make the pumpkin stem, take the brown tissue paper and fold it over until you get to the end and then secure shut with your glue stick.

Step 6:

Add some glue to the end of your stem and secure it to the back lip of the plate. Fold over the stem and secure to the front lip as well. Now scrunch the stem a little to give it some body.

Step 7:

Add the leaves by dabbing some glue on the back of the plate on either side of the stem and press down the leaves.

Step 8:

All done. Puff up the tissue paper for more body and feel free to embellish further by adding even more spooky characteristics to your pumpkin.
