Have a special fundraising event coming up? Or perhaps you just want to show your support for a cause? These tiny little duct tape ribbons are meaningful in any color and are sure to spruce up whatever the occasion may be! This project and many others is featured in Sophie's Book, Sticky Fingers: DIY Duct Tape Projects available at your local library and retailer.
Measure out 6 inches of duct tape.
Turn over your tape and fold up about 1/4 inch.
Continue folding until you reach the end of the tape. Generally this is about 5 folds.
Seal each fold with your finger. Now that it is all sealed you should have one thin strip of duct tape fabric and you are almost done.
To make the ribbon simply fold the tape one side across the other.
Just like that.
Pretty up your ribbon by cutting angles on the ends.
Cut a piece of tape about 2 inches long and tear into three skinny strips.
Use the thin strips to hold your ribbon in place.
You are now ready to attach your pin. Be careful not to poke yourself!
Flip over the ribbon and tape the pin in place, again be careful!
Trim off any excess and you are all done!
A simple web search will give you a list of the many colors of ribbons and what they symbolize.
