Step 1:

This project uses the same duct tape technique as our christmas trees.  Place one strip of green tape sticky side up on your work surface. Take your second strip and lay on top leaving a pinky-width strip of sticky exposed on both sides.

Step 2:

Fold one of the sticky edges up and seal just below the bottom edge of the other sticky edge.  This will make a small tube with one strip of sticky exposed.

Step 3:

Repeat step 1-2 with your second color duct tape, leaving you with four pieces.

Step 4:

Cut strips out of the duct tape strip that are about a finger's width wide.

Step 5:

Continue to cut these small pieces out of all four of your duct tape strips.

Step 6:

Place the strips in alternating colors around your coffee lid (make sure the lid is clean and dry).

Step 7:

After you have completed your little duct tape wreath, place a photo or whatever you want to display, in the center and trim to fit.

Step 8:

You can use glue, double-sided tape, or sticky back velcro to attach your photo to the lid.

Step 9:

To make the ornament hanger fold a 6 inch piece of tape in thirds, creating a strap.

Step 10:

Fold your strap into a loop.

Step 11:

Using another small strip of duct tape, seal your strap to the top of the lid.

Step 12:

This is a great time to embellish your ornament. Use stickers, jewels, feathers, buttons, you name it!

Step 13:

All done! Now make a dozen more ! :)
