Step 1:

To begin, you will need a little bit of prep time first making duct tape house points. For this particular tree, you need to create 63 house points. Each row has seven points, and the tree is nine rows tall. Plan your colors accordingly and decide how many of each house point you will need.

Step 2:

Begin with the bottom row of house points. Attach the sticky part of the house point to the cup, leaving the non sticky tip unattached. Continue around the bottom of the cone, slightly overlapping each house point.

Step 3:

Next, attach the second row with your new duct tape color. You want to attach theis row so that the tip of the second row fills in the gap created by the tips in the first.. Continue around the entire cup. Since the cone gets smaller as move towards the top, you will need to overlap each house point more and more.

Step 4:

Continue adding rows of house points until reach the top of the cone. On a 5 1/2 inch cone you will create approximately 9 rows, or 63 house points.

Step 5:

Now you need to finish the very top. Use four additional house points in your color of choice. Attach these in the same manner as you have the other rows, but this time wrap each piece fully around the cone, sealing and completing the top. Your tree is all done! You can now decorate however you like.

Step 6:

I began with a plastic beaded necklace. I cut it in half and attached to the top of the tree using a glue dot.

Step 7:

Now simply wrap the string around the tree and seal at the bottom with another glue dot.

Step 8:

For some extra flare, add a puff ball at the top with another glue dot.

Step 9:

And lastly, I added some more bling by applying self-adhesive gems around the whole tree.

Step 10:

The tree is complete and ready to steal the show at your Holiday gathering.
