Step 1:

To begin, cut both of your pipe cleaners in half so that you have four 6-inch pieces. You'll only need three, so save one piece for another project!

Step 2:

Take two pipe cleaners and cross them to make a "+" sign.

Step 3:

Twist the pipe cleaners to lock them together.

Step 4:

Lay a third pipe cleaner across your "+".

Step 5:

Wrap the third pipe cleaner around the other two to lock all three in place. You should now have six "arms" coming out of your interlocked center.

Step 6:

String beads on all six arms of your snowflake. You can make each arm match, or make them all different. Experiment with different sizes, colors, and shapes of beads to get different looks.

Step 7:

Leave just a little bit of pipe cleaner at the end of each arm as you finish beading.

Step 8:

At the end of each arm, bend the pipe cleaner over your final bead to secure them in place.

Step 9:

Ta-da! A beautiful, sparkling snowflake, just perfect to hang in a window or from your Christmas tree. If you wish to hang your creation, simply slip an ornament hook under one of the folded-over ends of the pipe cleaner arms, or tie a ribbon or string around one of the arms.
