I have to admit that I’m not all that into Saint Patrick’s Day. I look horrible in green, my heritage is Polish, German, English, and Scotch, I’m not a huge fan of corned beef, and I don’t like beer (green or otherwise). That being said, my assistant Annette is half Irish, and I do have a strong appreciation for anything that has to do with rainbows, little creatures wearing knickerbockers, and the hunt for elusive treasure.
For these reasons I thought it would be prudent to turn to other resources for my Irish inspiration this month. And where else does one find that endless supply of ideas? Well, the internet of course.
Thankfully, Jamilyn from I heart naptime has compiled a list of 50 fun St. Patrick’s Day ideas, activities, and treats. There are some really cute ideas here - like the leprechaun “bowl”er hat, the pot of gold rainbow licorice treat, and the 3D shamrock card/art. What I love about this post is there is something for everyone - from hand print shamrocks for the little ones, to a ball of yarn wreath that will challenge the most avid crafter. There are loads of adorable thematic sweets, and plenty of decor ideas for those wishing to throw their own St. Paddy’s party. Basically, it’s a fantastic post for SPD-impaired folks like me!
If you are looking for a little “luck of the Irish” this year, this is definitely the place to go.
