Wrapping Up the Holidays

Just in time for your last minute wrapping, Sophie shares some of her favorite techniques for wrapping gifts.

If there is one thing I adore about the Holiday season, it's wrapping presents!  In my family, I am known far and wide as the go-to girl for gift wrapping.  I just have the most fun.  It's sort of my own personal version of origami.  In fact, my mother-in-law used to save all her gifts for me to wrap.  It used to be one of my favourite activities.  I'd plop myself down in the middle of the living room with a wall of presents and rolls of wrapping paper.  What ensued was a frenzy of ribbon, tape and scissors.  I was in my element.

This is my first, and still most popular, video showing how to wrap a standard gift.

The funny thing is, it doesn't matter how important or insignificant the gift, I believe if it's wrapped, it's a gift!  So yes...that means an entire fleet of dental hygiene supplies for each stocking (a family tradition) and sneaking items out of suitcases for wrapping (think used deodorant and socks - this was my mother-in-law's caper and it used to make her hysterical each Christmas morn).

Here is a video demonstrating how I have come to learn to wrap cylindrical gifts.

With this in mind, I thought I'd repost some of my wrapping videos to inspire you.

And here is how I wrap those odd shaped gifts

However, if you still can't get the hang of it, just bring them on over...I'll be happy to wrap them for you!  You supply the hot cocoa, I'll supply the paper!
