Every now and then I get a request to review an item for a company. I always find this to be a fun endeavor, especially when it's something that I get to help design or create myself. So when the good folks over at Smartsign.com sent me an inquiry, I was more than happy to jump on board and give their product a try.
Smartsign has all of your sign needs covered. Whether you need a small sign, a huge sign, or even a reflective sign, they've got it. You can design your sign to your own specs, like I did, and upload your own artwork - or you can use their pre-designed templates (which is great for something like a hazard sign or parking placard). The nice thing about the site is that it's pretty easy to navigate. Just start at the custom sign page - pick your shape, then your size, your color, your material, and then off you go to adding your own words. I love the "auto fit" option that makes sure your sign is perfectly sized and aligned. They even have a photo of a person holding your sign so you can make sure it's exactly how you want it. They also offer a free "tweaking" service that guarantees a graphic designer will give your sign the once over. You can then have them send you a proof, or you can choose to have it go straight to production.
Production turn around time is very quick. I put an order in early in the morning and it shipped that same day. You can choose express shipping if you like, however, they offer free ground shipping for any sign over $25.00. The customer service is great! They respond quickly through either their chat or you can call them during business hours. They also respond quickly through e-mails.
The product itself is of a high-quality aluminum. Lightweight and flexible, with a very nice sheen. The paint is bright, smooth, and crisp. It's a really nice sign. If I have one tiny criticism it's that the aluminum might be a bit bendy - however, I think that's because I chose one of their less industrial signs.
It never ceases to amaze me the wonderful products that one can personalize nowadays. I guess it's just a "sign" of the times!
