March is only a few days away. Even though most of the country has had brutal weather that screams, "Al Gore was right 'yall", I am holding out hope that the robins and daffodils are about to make their return and announce that Spring is on the way. Also, according to the Association for Creative Industries, March is National Craft Month! As an avid supporter of crafting for all ages, I must admit that I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I had no idea there even was a national craft month.
However, the good folks over at candystore.com, seemed to have a handle on it, and have offered up 12 irresistibly cute crafts to celebrate the hopeful arrival of Spring. There are some super cute crafts here. I'm especially fond of the tulip-filled umbrella door "wreath" and the bow tie pasta butterfly portrait.
On a side note, if you are looking for tips on how to put together a kick-all candy table for your next event, this is the place to go. The site offers up blogs that cover everything from how to choose the right candies, display them, and buy the right amount.
There are even fun blog postings on the types of Valentine's candies most purchased throughout the US by State. It's fun to see that Texans tend to buy BIG OL' heart-shaped boxes of chocolates while Californian's opt for boxes of those pasty conversations hearts.
There are also tons of ideas on how to use candy for weddings, school functions, and parties. There's also a whole candy trivia category.
So pop on over to candystore.com and let's get those creative juices flowing. Who knows, with enough positive thinking we might be able to tempt Spring to elbow out this crazy Winter weather.
